Pouring your thoughts out onto a piece of paper can be extremely helpful in helping you cope with stress, as well as giving you an outlet for some other things that may have been on your mind that need to be dealt with in some form or another.

I love sitting down with a cup of peppermint tea and pulling out a journal. It’s soothing, and I know I’m going to feel better afterward.

You don’t always have to write long diaries of your life experiences to get these benefits, so writing about short, specific events can work just as well!

What do you usually find yourself thinking/doing during stressful periods?

Personally, when I’m stressed I tend to drift toward toxic behaviors. It’s been a goal of mine to try and channel that stress into something productive, but when I think of ‘productivity’ I think of work.
